The Open Air, Open Mic is a FREE event held every other Wednesday throughout the Summer and Fall months in the spacious abundance that is Josie Porter Farm in the heart of beautiful Cherry Valley.
Nestled and immersed in our lush, green Appalachian hills and historic farmland, we're just minutes from Stroudsburg, PA and the Delaware Water Gap in the Pocono Mountains.
We're looking forward to continue growing this event in the spirit of celebration, community, collaboration, music, the arts, and of course, the organic nature of our hosting biodynamic farm at Josie Porter.
Musicians:
Any style of musical expression welcome! Full backline and PA system provided, as well as drum kit, bass amp, guitar amp, and stage lights. Please bring your own mic if you have one or we'll get one of ours covered up for you. Signups will start at 6pm each night.
To ensure spots for everyone to play, specific slots on the list will be reserved for first time performers at the Open Air, Open Mic, and we may also implement a 2 week on, 1 week off policy for all performers, meaning, if you play two events in a row, we ask that you sign the wait list on the 3rd week to allow the opportunity for others to play. We encourage you to still come out to support other artists and be available to play just in case!
With these new guidelines in place we look forward to a constantly rotating list of performers each week while allowing the opportunity for everyone to perform at this growing event! Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation.
Artists:
Origins Gallery and members of Pocono Arts Council of Stroudsburg, PA will be onsite with a pop up art gallery featuring a wide variety of local artists and also interactive, hands on ways to paint and be creative for all ages!

Flow artists are always welcome to spin, hoop, dance and contribute to the space however you wish. We are all helping to contribute to the space and the vibe together at this collaborative and festive event, so please help us spread the word, and have fun creating in the moment with us!

We can all help lift each other up, support each other's work, and promote creative content and small businesses with this collaborative canvas of an event!

Seating, the space, and the weather:
Seating is limited so please BYO chair or blanket to spread out at a safe distance on the lawn. There's also a few good hammock trees nearby!
This will of course be weather dependent, but we'll always try our best not to cancel. We'll have a few canopies set up if there’s a chance of rain, but consider bringing your own canopy for your group if there's a chance of passing showers!
Check the weather beforehand and pack any extra layers or rain gear if needed, as well as bug spray, lights, anything that glows, and any other personal items that would make your time outside more enjoyable for the night.
Friendly leashed pets, lawn games, frisbees, hula hoops, etc. are all more than welcome!
This is an all-ages event, just please be mindful of the parking lot and cars driving through.
Covid-19 Precautions:
We continue to take the ongoing risks of Covid-19 seriously and are hosting these events with the presumption of self-responsibility of all patrons. Please be respectful and conscientious of everyone's varying comfort level with the ongoing risks, and err on the side of caution by wearing a mask when around others and also maintaining proper social distancing when setting up on the lawn.
Hand sanitizer, extra masks, and other CDC recommended guidelines will be available and in place to ensure everyone's safety.
If you are feeling sick, please stay home and consider getting a Covid test.
Our Intention is to offer this space to relax, unwind, to create, to collaborate together, to showcase local talent and crafts, to meet and support our neighbors, to network and promote creative work, and to feel invested in and part of something bigger.
We believe something profoundly awesome happens when we work together in achieving these common goals through the diversity of talents and backgrounds that we all share as a community.
This is and always will be a community-driven, non-profit event! Your donations help keep us going and growing, so please look out for the donation basket and consider supporting or getting involved to help out!
Big ideas always welcome :)
Humbly hosted by Brit and Kenny play Music, Grant Wagner, LUCA music, and Josie Porter Farm.
